New Year’s cleaning 2026

I won’t go into the personal side, but I will cover the professional one. First up were my notes, knowledge base, and various ideas. Next, I looked at my domains, I cancelled several auto-renewals and made a pact with myself to stop impulsively buying domains every time a silly idea pops into my head.

Then came the apps. I started with my oldest one, Click Counter. It’s undergone a massive overhaul: a redesign, the addition of light and dark modes, bug fixes, new features, widgets, a watch app, and Polish localization (with more languages likely to follow). I’ve gated a few of the new features behind a one-time payment, though anyone who already has the app at the time of this update gets the Pro version for free. The public changelog lists over 10 items, while my internal, private one contains more than 30.

Next was Design Snap. I cleared out the bugs, gave it a subtle redesign, streamlined the generation flow (fewer clicks, fewer screens), added a home screen widget, improved the gallery, and enabled the ability to re-edit previous projects. Again, that’s over 10 items in the public changelog and more than 20 in my private one.

Presento is already being consistently polished, so there’s nothing that needs changing there.

As for Walkies well, I’ve completely rebuilt the application. The first version completely missed the mark in terms of what the app was originally intended to be, and it ended up being something like a "Strava for dogs." Now, the focus is on serving as a mobile companion and a digital health record for your dog. I’ve also added a lot of new features, such as report generation, the ability to share a dog’s with other people, and better support for health-related informations, including chronic conditions. Plus, I’ve fixed a lots of bugs.

I’ve also returned to FORMA with a firm commitment to finally release it. I’ve stripped out half the codebase, and the app now runs much better and more smoothly. I expect to finish it by the end of the month and submit it to Apple for review. I wrestled with whether it was worth it, but decided I wanted to change the "coming soon" badge to "live", plus, I’ll be using it myself, just as I used the dev version on my phone.
